USPA NEWS - Since it first started in 1987, the Phuket King's Cup Regatta has become one of Asia's premier Yacht Racing events. It is traditionally held in the beginning of December, and it was conceived to honor His Majesty the King of Thailand's 60th birthday.
Now the regatta has grown from strength to strength. In all of it like boasting the largest contingent of keel boats, size and reputation, as well as plenty multi-hulls and traditional craft it is one of a kind. After the end of each race the participants enjoy the after-race parties which are hosted by the race sponsors. Every year they seem to add something to the regatta such as the "Regatta Bar", right on the beach by the resort. Offering drinks at normal, friendly prices and plenty of space to gather and mingle. This increased the fun atmosphere of the after party gatherings. So wherever you would like to be, the Phuket International King's Cup Regatta is definitely the place to go. The Phuket King's Cup Regatta is suitable for every taste.
